The setting: Change is in the air. Literally. Three months ago, comets began appearing in the night sky. After a particularly bright night last month, they suddenly ceased. The next evening, the sky over the Western Spur Mountain range was particularly bright at sunset, and the sunsets have gotten more colorful and vivid ever since. The Sulvyani Delegation, with uncharacteristic haste, packed up their mission, and headed west after only three days.

To the north, raiders are again coming south out of the Icewind mountains. Refugees are coming south too, and most, but not all of them, are humans not of the Empire. They tell tales of a harsh flight southward, towards the Icewinds, from a terrible beast they cannot describe, other than it's ferocious bass howls heard in the quiet of the night.

In the east, tales have been heard from Traders on the Grimwood Pass of trouble far away in the Eastern Marches of the Empire. The Timidu himself is said to be preparing to lead the Imperial Army into the Eastern Marches.

And to the south, on the Sea, come tales of strange beasts sinking ships of the Merchant Guild.

What do all these things mean? No one is quite certain, but it is known that after spreading rumors of "the end-times," the High Solon was replaced several weeks ago by an Easterner, and recalled to the Holy City. His entourage set out on the Grimwood Pass last week.

I will soon be starting a new table-top game, set in the Western Marches of the Parnurian Empire. Up above you found information about the Marches, here you will find information about running a character in the campaign. Later, I hope to post adventure logs as well.
